Community Grants
East Lindsey District Council are pleased to announce the re-opening of the ‘Community Grants Scheme’ for 2011/12. Grants of up to £8,000 are available to help local community groups and other ‘not for profit’ organisations that have projects that will help to deliver the Council’s ambitions for the district.
More than £125,000 was awarded last year through the scheme to 36 organisations undertaking a vast array of different projects including: Community building projects; environmental projects; sports and leisure projects; arts projects and advice and support projects.
Both ‘capital’ and ‘revenue’ projects can be supported, with revenue funding available for up to 3 years and therefore grants can potentially reach up to £24,000 (3 x £8,000) in total.
The scheme is administered through 2 funding rounds each year. The application deadlines for the 2011/12 scheme are detailed below. Applicants can expect a decision on their request within 6 weeks.

- Round 2 application deadline – 5 September 2011

A series of workshops have been arranged in partnership with South Lincs CVS designed to support and advise any groups wishing to apply to the Community grants scheme.

Lincolnshire County Councils - Community Facilities Grant Scheme
The Community Grants Team are also available to offer guidance and advice when applying to Lincolnshire County Councils Community Facilities Grant Scheme. This grant scheme funds recreation projects up to £15,000 and Community Building projects up to £25,000. It is strongly recommended that you discuss your project with the East Lindsey District Council Community Grants Team when applying to this scheme as Lincolnshire County Council consult with East Lindsey District Council regarding any applications made to the scheme.
