Funk Bus
The Funk-Bus will tour 36 rural and isolated communities in the area, delivering a range of ‘play’ experiences for 11 to 19 year olds. Teenagers from across East Lindsey continually express their views on which latest equipment they would like to see on the Funk Bus.
In the summer months the Funk Bus carries sports equipment for outside activities so if the weather is sunny then outside “play” activities will be happening along with the usual inside Funk Bus activities.
Currently the Funk-Bus contains the following equipment along with all the latest games.
- Play Station 3
- Xbox 360
- Nintendo Wii
- Wii Fit Dance mat
- 32 inch plasma TV
- Two 26 inch plasma TVs
- Free view TV
- PC with Internet access
- All the latest I-tunes
- Nintendo DSI
- PSP
If anyone has any requests on what games, consoles or music they would like to be on the funk bus then please ask the staff on duty.
Aims of the bus
The bus is bringing play activities to rural areas in East Lindsey to all children between the ages of 11-19 years old. To have a safe supervised area where children can play and also learn. Another aim of the Funk Bus is for local children to meet others and make new friends.
Code of conduct
The Funk Bus and its staff base themselves on been in a safe and welcoming environment, therefore we have a very strict code of conduct on the funk bus, anyone caught doing any of the following will be asked to leave the bus immediately. All children who attend the bus are treated equally.
No swearing, No bullying, No alcohol, No fighting
