Wardens
East Lindsey District Council's Dog Warden service is responsible for the collection of stray dogs and the enforcement of Dog Fouling legislation.
Promoting responsible dog ownership and appropriate education are also an important part of the service.
Approximately 250 stray dogs are collected each year, and their owners claim a large percentage of these.
The Dog Wardens work with Police Community Support Officers and regularly conduct joint patrols. These are mainly interacting with the public and giving advice. They are empowered to issue Fixed Penalty Notices for littering and fouling offences.
