Housing Strategy

Housing Strategy involves producing the Housing Strategy Documents, working with housing associations to enable more affordable homes and assessing the housing needs of residents.

The 2005 – 2010 Housing strategy outlines the housing needs of the district, sets targets and gives guidance on how to make improvements and where new affordable housing should be built.

The strategy includes targets so you can measure how we can perform and we can make sure we are accountable.

The Special Needs Supplement, the Housing Needs Supplement and the Executive Summary are part of the 2005-10 Housing Strategy.

The Housing Strategy Update 2009 highlights changes in policy and practice since the 2005-10 strategy was published. It sets new housing targets for the next two years.
