TEAMS from East Lindsey District Council remained on standby throughout the night to deal with requests for assistance following the rainfall yesterday.
The Council's Customer Service Centres were stood down at 8.45pm, receiving no calls from residents between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.
Around 1400 filled sandbags were issued from Sandbag Stations in Horncastle and Louth yesterday, with teams delivering them directly to some of the most vulnerable residents.
Sandbag Stations rained in place all night and the Council continues to monitor the weather closely along with its colleagues at the Environment Agency and County Council.
