SPECIALIST landscape experts are about to begin a detailed a study of East Lindsey’s landscape and prepare a Landscape Character Assessment. And they would like your help.
This study will provide important evidence for the landscape-based policies to be included in the East Lindsey Local Development Framework (which will take over from the Local Plan).
It will also be a useful tool for District, Town and Parish Councils when looking at planning applications – they will be able to more confidently measure the impact on the landscape of proposed new development.
Landscape Consultants, ECUS Ltd, wants to gather knowledge and opinions from all local groups and individuals with a particular interest in the District’s landscape and will be holding open meetings with workshops at four venues around the area. If you feel you have something useful to contribute, you are invited to come along to any one of them.
The meetings are:
- Monday 17th March, 2-5pm, Conoca Room, Louth
- Tuesday 18th March, 10am-1pm, Horncastle community centre
- Monday 31st March, 2-5pm, Arts Room, Embassy Centre, Skegness
- Tuesday 1st April, 10am-1pm, Community Hall, Stanley Avenue, Mablethorpe.
