Debbie Prince from East Lindsey District Council, said she hoped those taking part will join a local sports club on a regular basis: “We are working hard to develop healthier lifestyle and create more sporting opportunities for local communities and this event is a great example of that. Those making it through the heats will be invited to the finals on Thursday July 17 at Lincoln. They will compete against runners from all over the county and be given the opportunity to meet Linford Christie and Darren Campbell.”
Free transport will be provided for those who make it through to the finals.
