Scheme of Delegation
The revised Scheme of Delegation sets out who has the responsibility for deciding your planning application. This applies to planning applications such as applications for Listed Building Consent, Conservation Area Consent, Advertisement consent and some other types of application.
The council can give authority to a senior planning team manager or above to sign of applications. The senior manager signs the application on behalf of the council. However it is still the council who issue the final decision.
Full details of how this works are set out in the scheme.
Some applications are also decided at planning committee.
