Planning Policy
The Development Plan is currently made up of the East Lindsey Local Plan. Planning officers use the Plan to make decisions on planning applications. National policies and are also considered when making decisions
The Planning Policy Team produce the local part of The Development Plan. This is a set of policies that are relevant to East Lindsey. The team also produce supporting research and evidence to support the development plan.
The aim is to direct new development to places where it can be of greatest benefit to the widest number of people in the long term. The Plan is also used to manage development, so that it does not harm the environment, or people’s quality of life.
The East Lindsey Local Development Scheme sets out timescales that we will follow when creating new documents for the Development Plan. This includes information about the Local Development Framework (LDF).
