Excess Charge Appeal
Excess Charge Notices (ECNs) are often referred to as “Parking Tickets or Parking Fines”. These are issued by our Car Park Attendants for off-street parking offences.
If you have received an Excess Charge Notice please do not approach the Attendant on the car park as they have no authority or power to cancel the Excess Charge once it has been issued.
Should you wish to appeal against the issue of the Excess Charge Notice, you may do this within 7 days from the date of issue of the ECN by either writing to the address on the ECN, printing an Excess Charge Appeal Form, or using the e-Form.
Note that your appeal cannot be considered if you have forgotten to include the ECN number.
The Excess Charge Notice fine amount is £60.00.
A discount rate of £30.00 will be accepted provided payment is made within 7 days of the issue date of the Excess Charge
Upon receiving your appeal, we will consider what you say, and aim to respond to your appeal within 14 days. Until such time as we are able to respond to your communication, your case will remain on hold.
If your appeal fails, you will have a further 7 days from the date of our letter to you, to pay the Excess Charge outstanding amount. Once a decision has been reached you will be notified in writing, outlining the reasons why your appeal was successful or not.
