Our vision is to encourage innovative, high profile events, with regional, national and international appeal, run to the highest possible standards.
If you are planning an event in our district, please complete an Event Notification Form (PDF, 271KB) and return it to the Events Team at ELDC, Tedder Hall, Manby Park, LOUTH, Lincolnshire, LN11 8UP or by email - email@example.com
If you are planning to hold your event on land owned by East Lindsey District Council inc. beaches, promenades, foreshores, etc…, you must obtain formal permission to do so. To do this you need to email firstname.lastname@example.org in our Property Services Team detailing exactly which areas of land you are wanting to use, when (date and times) and for what.
Events in East Lindsey are broken down as follows, those:
run by ELDC e.g. Mablethorpe Illuminations Switch-on, SO Festival, Beach Sports Activities
We will manage our own ELDC events according to the same principles, practices and standards expected of any other event organiser
run on ELDC premises by other organisers
We have a legal responsibility as land owners to make sure that any events taking place on our land are well planned, safe and well-managed
supported by ELDC e.g. with grants, publicity, etc
We have to be sure that where we are supporting events, they are well planned, safe and well-managed
run with no involvement of ELDC
We are happy for you to use the LESP Event Organiser Handbook which must be read in conjunction with our own Organising Events in East Lindsey (PDF, 308KB)toolkit. We will also provide you with additional advice and guidance if contacted.
Please note: the Council has a statutory duty to enforce relevant statutory provisions. We will always try to make sure you have been well advised and are aware of any requirements before the event. However, ultimately, it is your responsibility, as event organisers, to comply with all legal requirements.
