Our Building Conservation Officer is involved in a wide range of activities relating to planning, including the re-use of buildings at risk, development control and planning and policy advice.
We have a Conservation Officer who can give you expert advice on maintaining and restoring important historic buildings. We currently do not have any grants available; however other bodies such as Historic England may be able to help you.
There is also an Archaeological Officer at Lincolnshire County Council who deals with more detailed archaeological work around the county. This can include planning applications that involve digging or disturbing the earth in areas that might have important remains.
It should be noted that doing work to a Listed Building without the correct consent is a criminal offence. In addition to this, disturbing, destroying or removing items and artifacts from the ground can also be a criminal offence.
