The Health and Safety Section at East Lindsey District Council routinely sample the water from all swimming pool which are accessible by members of the public, which include the following:-
- Swimming Pools in Leisure Centres Owned by ELDC
- Swimming Pools in Privately Owned Leisure Centres, Health Clubs and Holiday Parks
- School Swimming Pools

All of the above types of pools are routinely samples to ensure that the water in which people swim is of an acceptable microbiological standard. If any problems are found with regard to water quality officers of the Health and Safety section take prompt action to notify the pool operators of the problem and ensure that steps are taken to bring the pool water back to the required standard.
