Introduction
The Health and Safety section at East Lindsey District Council deals with a wide range of Safety and Health issues, which affect businesses in the District. We also act on behalf of the local and visiting population to ensure that employees of businesses and the general public are, as far as possible, entering a safe environment.
Our Aim
To advise and educate on matters of Employment and Public Safety within East Lindsey District.
In order to achieve the above a small but dedicated team of officers are on hand to carry out the following duties:
- Inspect Commercial Premises

Respond to Requests for Service from members of the public/business relating to health and safety issues.

Investigate Reportable Accidents

Carry out routine sampling to ensure safety in swimming pools and the local environment.

Inspect premises for licensing/registration and local bylaws (e.g. public entertainment)

Encourage Safe and Healthy living through health Promotion Initiatives
