A-Z of Council Services:

Horncastle Town Hall

Boston Road
HORNCASTLE
Lincolnshire
LN9 6NF

East Lindsey District Council Customer Services and Horncastle Town Council are due to relocate to the Town Library in September 2008.

All existing bookings for events until and including 30th September 2008 can continue as planned.

New bookings can also still be made for events taking place prior to 30th September 2008.

From 1st October 2008, the Town Hall will be unoccupied but will open for those events which will occur before 31st January 2009 and have been booked by 1st May 2008. However, these bookings for events after 1st October 2008 are made at the organiser’s risk as there will be no programme of repairs, etc carried out by East Lindsey District Council once the building is unoccupied. So, for example, if the heating system fails, there will be no heating for the event. Organisers will either have to go ahead without this or relocate to another venue or cancel the event.

Bookings already made for events 1st February 2009 onwards will be cancelled. Where deposits have already been paid these will be refunded in full.

Horncastle is situated on the South Western edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Town Hall, originally known as the Drill Hall, was built in 1901 and was used in both World Wars for the rest and rehabilitation of servicemen.

It was sold to the Urban District Council, now East Lindsey District Council, and used as their offices in 1970.

The Town Hall, as it is now known, is available for public hire providing the perfect venue for many types of events.
