Business Rates Changes in Circumstance
 

If your circumstances change you should keep us informed so that we can keep your account records up to date.

You can tell us about a move in or out of a property by either:

  • Downloading and completing the relevant attached form
  • Telephone us on (01507) 329518 or (01507) 329191
  • Write to us, stating any changes we need to know about
We recommend that you contact us as soon as possible if you are unsure whether a change in circumstances is relevant to your Business Rates account. This will help us ensure that your account is up to date and that you are getting any reductions you are entitled to.
 
 
Protecting your information

Any information you give us will be processed according to the law, in particular the Data Protection Act 1998. Your information will only be used for Council purposes unless there is a legal authority to do otherwise.

We have a legal duty to pass on information to HM Revenue and Customs. This information can include details about your Business Rates account, such as: your business name, business address, billing address, occupancy details, premises description and amount payable.
