Accidents are a major health problem nationally, regionally and locally. Accidents cause a considerable amount of absence from work, suffering, permanent disability, deaths and are a major financial burden. The East Lindsey Local Strategic Partnership Health and Wellbeing group have identified this and established a working group to publish and deliver a strategy (available on the link below)
Accident Prevention Strategy
The strategy was created in order to:
- Highlight the issue of accidents and the local potential for accident and casualty reduction
- Improve the co-ordination of the work of individuals and agencies involved in the task of accident and casualty reduction
- Achieve greater interest and involvement by other individuals and agencies in this important work
The strategy group consists of members from East Lindsey District Council, East Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust, Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, Sure Start Coastal Ribbon, Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue Service, Lincolnshire County Council Highways, Lincolnshire Police, Rospa, Help the Aged, Linkage Community Trust, Louth Homestart and local training providers.
