Equality and Diversity Policy
 

Corporate Equality and Diversity Policy and Equality Scheme

East Lindsey District Council’s approach to equality and diversity has been established in the Corporate Equality and Diversity Policy. The Policy outlines the Council’s aspirations and helps to co-ordinate the approach of all of the departments and services of the Council in order that they complement one another in promoting equality.

East Lindsey Equality Scheme

The Equality Scheme shows how the Council intends to put the aspirations identified within the Corporate Equality and Diversity Policy into action. Much of the Scheme is based upon the Equality Standard for Local Government, which provides a framework for making equality part of the Council’s everyday functioning and decision-making.

The East Lindsey Equality Scheme also incorporates the Council’s: 

  • Race Equality Scheme 
  • Disability Equality Scheme 
  • Gender Equality Scheme 
  • The Level 3 Action Plan for the Equality Standard for Local Government is now included in the East Lindsey Equality Scheme (January 2008)
