FOI
The FOIA gives people a right of access to information held by public bodies unless an exemption applies.
All request must be made in writing and must state the requestors name and correspondence details. You can use our request form or simply put your request in a letter or email.
Once received, your request will be complied with within the statutory timescale of 20 working days unless we write informing you otherwise.
Under the Act we are able to charge, but you will be informed of any charges before you receive the information.
The Act requires that we produce a Publication Scheme which sets out the categories of information we publish, the manner in which it is published and details of any charges for accessing the information. Our Publication Scheme can be found on the page titled DPA,FOI and EIR.
East Lindsey District Council has also produced a disclosure log which will show all FOI requests we have received since January 2008. This can also be found on the page titled DPA,FOI and EIR.
