The Environmental Protection service at East Lindsey District Council deals with a wide range of issues. They aim to ensure improved individual and community health and well-being for residents, visitors and businesses in the area. This is achieved by offering advice, education and enforcing environmental protection legislation within the District.
A dedicated team of officers carry out the following functions:
Investigating service requests regarding noise, air pollution, odour, dust, accumulations, drainage etc.
Licensing of caravan sites and investigation of complaints and routine inspections.
Routine inspections, renewal, variations and new permits for Local Authority Pollution Prevention and Control (LAPPC) and Local Authority Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (LA-IPPC).
Implementation of the contaminated land strategy and related enquiries.
Administration of the Local Air Quality Management scheme.
Consultations for planning applications.
Consultations for Public Entertainment Licences.
Organise burials where there are no relatives.
Organise education through health promotion Initiatives.
Pest control service.
