Noise Pollution

East Lindsey District Council Environmental Protection Service receives just under 1000 complaints each year about noise.

The most common complaints are about disturbance from neighbours, due to noise from loud music, televisions, D.I.Y. and barking dogs etc.

We also investigate noise from amplified music at pubs and clubs, burglar alarms, car alarms, construction site noise and industrial noise etc.

For further information on noise, please click on the links below.

Some sources of noise cannot be investigated by this service, examples include noise from aircraft, this is investigated by the Civil Aviation Authority. Noise from military aircraft is investigated by the Ministry of Defence.

If you have any queries regarding noise, please do not hesitate to contact this department at environmentalprotection@e-lindsey.gov.uk
