Pest Control
 

Pest Control Service

East Lindsey District Council offers a pest control treatment service to destroy rats, mice, wasps and certain specified “public health” insects, at domestic and commercial premises within the district boundaries. These services are outlined below:-

Domestic Premises

Rats and mice - £32.00
Concessionary charge - £20.00

Insects -  £40.00 
Concessionary charge - £25.00
(Includes all other insects classified as public health nuisance species, such as bed bugs and cockroaches)

Fleas - £40.00
Concessionary Charge  - £25.00

If there are pets in the household they must be treated prior to or in conjunction with the Pest Control Officers treatment for the treatment to be effective.

Please Note: The concessionary charge will only apply if the customer is in receipt of their state pension or other means tested benefit.

These payments are to be paid in advance of the treatment.

Please note that we do not return to properties after the treatment to remove wasp nests. You may be advised that by leaving the nest this could stop any future nesting in the same place, the nest will not cause any damage or smell.

Churches / Churchyards, other places of worship and allotments - these premises are treated the same as domestic premises under this service.

Commercial and Business Premises:

Standard Business Tariff (Rats and Mice):


All treatments (for the same company/business) will be charged at £39.00 per hour + cost of materials + administration + VAT

Standard Business Tariff (Insects e.g. Fleas/Wasps Etc):

All treatments will be charged at £39.00 per hour + cost of materials + administration + VAT

Pest Control Contract Scheme

Alternatively you may wish to enquire about a new pest control contract scheme which has been established for Commercial and Business premises only, particularly aimed at the Food/Catering Sector.

The cost of the contract is £149 per year.

Farms / Farmyards, Agricultural Land

East Lindsey District Council no longer provide a pest control service for farms / farmyards, agricultural land. We advise you to contact the local National Farmers Union who may have a list of appropriate companies who would carry out this type of work.
