If the treatment for the pests requires the operative to work at height, either on domestic or business premises, this will only be done if safe working practices can be adopted, strictly in accordance with health and safety legislation. 

Monday to Thursday (excluding bank holidays) 8:45am to 5pm, Fridays - 8:45am to 4:45pm

Problems with this service may be reported in the following ways:

• By visiting Council offices
• By visiting a Customer Service Centre
• By calling the Council
• By posting or faxing an application form
• By applying over the Internet

Problems reported by phone or visiting Council offices or Customer Service Centres.

• Rats and mice – £32.00 or a concessionary rate of £20.00
  
• Wasps and bees plus all other insects classified as public health nuisance species, such as fleas, bed bugs and cockroaches - a pre-payment charge of £40.00 or concessionary rate of £25.00.

Please note: Concessionary Rates will only apply if the customer is in receipt of their State Pension or a means tested benefit. Churches / churchyards, other places of worship and allotments are treated the same as “households” under this service.

Commercial and Business Premises:

Standard Business Tariff (Rats and Mice):

All Treatments (for the same company/business) will be charged at £39.00 per hour + cost of materials + administration + VAT@ 17.5%.

Standard Business Tariff (Insects e.g. Fleas/Wasps Etc):

All treatments will be charged at £39.00 per hour + cost of materials + administration + VAT@ 17.5%.

Pest Control Contract Scheme

Alternatively you may wish to enquire about a new pest control contract scheme which has been established for Commercial and Business premises only, particularly aimed at the Food/Catering Sector.

The cost of a one year contract is currently £149
