The Building Conservation Section is involved in a wide range of activities which cut across all the roles of the Planning and Regeneration Department. These include the re-use of buildings at risk, development control, planning and policy advice and a variety of work to enhance quality of life for all.

 
 
Conservation Area Appraisals Consultations

 

 

Alford, Horncastle and Louth Conservation Areas

 

 

East Lindsey District Council wishes to adopt and publish Conservation Area Appraisals to help protect, manage and enhance the Alford, Horncastle and Louth Conservation Areas.  The Conservation Areas are areas of the towns that have a special character and are of architectural and historic interest.

 

The Appraisals will establish the most important characteristics of Alford, Horncastle and Louth and propose appropriate ways to protect these characteristics, manage and enhance the areas.
