Please present your bin at the edge of your property by 6:30am on your collection day, or from 6:30pm on the day before you collection.
Please ensure that you present the correct materials in the correct bin. Your bin will not be emptied if you have put the wrong materials in it.
Any waste presented at the side of your bin will not be collected.
Please ensure that your bin lid is closed when you present your bin for collection. We will not remove additional waste that forces the bin open.

Grey Recycling Bin
A grey bin is provided for your recyclable waste and the following materials can be placed inside this bin:
Newspapers, magazines and comics, junk mail, tickets and leaflets, shredded paper, brochures, catalogues, telephone directories, Yellow Pages, envelopes, cardboard packaging, egg boxes, all types of cardboard boxes and sleeves, greetings cards, and cigarette packets (with foil taken out), plastic bottles, clean aluminium foil, empty aerosol cans, all drinks cans, all food tins, all pet food tins.
Please note we cannot accept cartons with foil or waxed linings. Please do not place your recyclables in plastic bags inside your bins – put the materials in loose. Large cardboard boxes can be flattened and placed at the side of the grey bin.
Please do not put any non-recyclable materials into your grey bin. If you have any other waste materials please take them to your nearest Household Waste Recycling Centre in Skegness, Kirkby on Bain or Louth. We also provide a network of glass recycling facilities across the district. Locations of these sites can be found on the councils recycling web pages or by calling Customer Services on 01507 601111.
Green Waste Recycling Bin
A green bin is provided for green waste from your garden such as grass cuttings, leaves, plants, sticks, prunings.
Please do not use bin liners in your green bin, even if they are biodegradable. If you do not want a green bin, please tell us.
Black Domestic Waste Bin
A black bin is provided for non-recyclable items such as food waste, nappies, plastic bags. Please do not put grass cuttings into your black bin. We will not empty the bin until you have removed the waste.
Larger Wheeled Bins
Larger bins are available if you produce healthcare waste have two children in nappies or have more than 5 people in your family
If your property can not accommodate a wheeled bin please contact us to discuss alternative methods of collection.

Difficult Wastes
Certain waste items are difficult to dispose of. Batteries, electrical equipment, fluorescent light tubes, unwanted fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides, bleaches, detergents and general cleaning chemicals and paint can all be taken to your local Household Waste Recycling Centre at Kirkby on Bain (Tattershall Road), Louth (Fairfield Industrial Estate), or Skegness (Warth Lane).
