Welcome to our Health section

The health and well being of all who live, work and visit East Lindsey District is overseen by a group of sections within the Environmental Services Department who together provide a valuable service to the community under the broad heading of Environmental Health.
Environmental Health covers the following core functions:

Commercial (Covering Food Safety/Health and Safety in Commercial Premises)
Environment Section
Housing Standards

Each of the above areas is staffed by dedicated teams of professional officers who are trained specifically in each function. Environmental Health covers an enormous range of issues that include:

  • Health and Safety Inspections/ Complaints/ Requests for advice
  • Dangerous Wild Animal/Animal Welfare Licences
  • Monitoring of Swimming Pools
  • Radon/Asbestos Advice
  • Noise from neighbours/industry
  • Drainage/Pollution Problems
  • IPPC
  • Contaminated Land
  • Food Safety Inspections/Complaints/Requests for advice
  • Monitoring of Foodstuffs
  • Houses in Multiple Occupation
