The Food and Health Awards are given to premises that have met pre-determined criteria, four levels of awards are provided with these being:
- Gold - Businesses have to meet hygiene standards, catering areas totally smokefree and carry out and maintain healthier eating practices.
- Silver - Businesses have to meet hygiene standards, will have a few smoking tables but be working towards being completely smokefree in the next year and carry out and maintain healthy catering practices.
- Bronze - Business have to meet hygiene standards and will be working towards going smokefree and introducing healthier catering practices over the next twelve to eighteen months.
- Retail - This award is for businesses that met our hygiene standards but for which the other criteria is not applicable.
