A-Z of Council Services:

Finding Accommodation

If you require accommodation in the district there are a number of accommodation options available.

  • East Lindsey District Council (ELDC)
ELDC no longer have council homes, however, 3 in every 4 properties available through Registered Social Landlords (RSL) are let to people on our housing register.
  • Registered Social Landlords
Provide affordable social housing throughout the district. They also have their own housing register.
  • Private Rental
Privately owned properties rented out for profit. Rents are usually more expensive than RSL’s and you have less security with your tenancy.
  • Hotels/Foyers/Night Shelter
Hostel accommodation is usually for single people who have nowhere to live or are going to be homeless. Most providers will need to see you before offering a room.
  • Caravan / Mobile Homes
Mostly found on the coastal strip. These properties are usually for holiday purposes only and are not open all year long.
We cannot offer advice on Mobile homes or caravan sites but can advise on occupier’s rights.
  • Low cost home ownership
Properties developed by a Housing Association or developer which have been specifically built for people to part buy/part rent.
