Community Leisure Projects

Active communities. Active individuals. Reducing health inequalities and getting people involved in sports and leisure.

Changing people’s attitudes towards leisure will now become a reality, through the implementation of our latest line of important investments:

Community Leisure Projects

In order to meet government initiatives and engage more people in sport and leisure activities across the District, we are project managing a wide programme of leisure projects for East Lindsey.

Through redevelopment of existing facilities, the construction and management of brand new venues and excellent partnership working with clubs and national governing bodies of sport, the projects will result in creating top-class, value for money, sustainable facilities for our residents and our visitors that focus on:

  • Developing healthy and active lifestyles
  • Improving your quality of life
  • Making fitness FUN for everyone!
  • Supporting local clubs and community groups
  • Bringing leisure facilities up to 21st century standards
  • Provide a base for learning and personal development

The Community Leisure Projects currently underway are:

Louth

  • Element 1 – Sports ground and pavilion complex on London Road
  • Element 2 – Community leisure centre on Wood Lane

Skegness

  • Sports ground and pavilion complex on Wainfleet Road

...and watch this space for more improvements to leisure through additional projects in the near future!

Take a look at the information in these pages. It answers most of the questions that come our way about these projects. If for any reason you can't find what you're looking for, contact us directly.
