Bowls Tournaments
 

We organise indoor and outdoor bowls tournaments for the residents of East Lindsey and the East Midlands.  We work in partnership with the English Bowls Federation and the English Bowls Association.

Winter Indoor Bowls

Bowls clubs from the North of East Lindsey and the South of East Lindsey take part in the Winter Bowls League. The clubs play at each of the participating venues and an annual trophy is presented at the end of the league to the winning team.

East Lindsey Indoor Short Mat Bowls Tournament

The East Lindsey Indoor Short Mat Bowls Tournament is open to all bowls clubs. The tournament takes place at Skegness St Clements College. This is an all day event that takes place at a weekend. The format is mixed triples.

Lindsey Ashes

The Lindsey Ashes is an event that takes place between East Lindsey and West Lindsey, the top 4 teams are taken from the East Lindsey Bowls Tournament to represent East Lindsey in the Lindsey Ashes. The 1st round is played in West Lindsey near the end of the year and the 2nd round is played in East Lindsey near the start of the year.

Inland Tournaments

Inland tournaments take place at Woodhall Spa Jubilee Park and Louth Charles Street. The bowls take place in the format of open singles, open pairs and open triples at each venue. The tournaments take place on a weekend between May and August.

Skegness Tournaments

The Skegness Tournaments take place over a week from June to September. The English Bowling Federation (E.B.F.) Tournaments take place in June and September and the English Bowling Association (E.B.A.) Tournament takes place in July. The format of the bowls for the E.B.F tournaments is open singles, open pairs, mixed pairs and open rinks of three. The format for the E.B.A. July tournament is gents singles, ladies singles, gents pairs, ladies pairs and mixed pairs.
