Hire of District Council Amenity Buildings
The following District Council owned amenity buildings have various rooms available for hire for a variety of events/occasions at competitive rates:

Alford Corn Exchange,
Horncastle Town  Hall,
Louth Town Hall,
Skegness Town Hall

The hire of District Council owned amenity buildings is available to anyone aged 21 or over. 

The District Council’s Amenity Buildings are available for hire at all times, however, the booking of the venues can only be made during the following times:

Alford Corn Exchange – Monday – Thursday (9.00am – 5.00pm) Friday (9.00am – 4.30pm)

Horncastle Town Hall – Monday – Friday (9.00am – 1.00pm & 2.00pm – 4.15pm)

Louth Town Hall – Monday – Friday (9.00am – 4.15pm)

Skegness Town Hall - Monday – Friday (9.00am – 4.15pm)

Restrictions on the Service
The Council reserves the right to refuse any application for the hiring of a Venue without being required to give any reason for such refusal.
Hire charges differ at each venue depending on the facilities required, therefore, it is recommended that customers contact the booking officer at the specific venue to obtain details of hire charges.

  • Customer to contact ELDC Contact Centre or visit the venue during office hours.
  • Customer to discuss requirements with the venue’s Booking Officer.
  • If venue is suitable to customer requirements:
    • check venue availability
    • confirm that the potential hirer is 21 or over.
    • enter booking into diary to ensure double bookings do not occur.
    • offer potential hirer a tour of the venue
    • If potential hirer is happy, complete booking form with hirer details, dates, times, event type, costs, customer signature, etc….
    • obtain deposit from hirer (if total hire cost is £100 or more)
      • issue customer with the following documentation:
      • a copy of the signed booking form
      • receipt for deposit
      • a copy of the ‘Conditions & Regulations Governing the Hiring of Council Venues’
      • a copy of the venue ‘specifics’
      • two copies of ‘Emergency Fire Plan (one to be signed and returned to Booking Officer)
      • List of Door Supervisor Agencies (if required)
      • Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 form (if required)
