Safe Swimming
Parents, Guardians & Carers - for the enjoyment and safety of you and children in your care please be advised that:
- Children under the age of 4 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a one to one basis whilst in the swimming pool complex.(Responsible person: 16 years or over).
- Children aged between 4 - 7 years must be accompanied by a responsible person on a maximum two to one basis whilst in the swimming pool complex.
- Children who are not confident / competent swimmers 8 - 11years must be accompanied by a responsible person at all times whilst in the swimming pool on a maximum one to two basis. Definition: 'confident / competent' Able to demonstrate they can swim two lengths in a recognised stroke.
- Group swimmers may, by prior arrangement, have one responsible person supervising up to ten 'swimming' children. Subject to the above regards children under 8.
- The staff may, at their sole discretion, refuse admission if they believe that the safety of pool users is compromised.
- Always listen to the advice of the Lifeguards on duty.
