Lincolnshire Coast

The Lincolnshire coast is one of the few places left in Britain where you can experience a peaceful feeling of tranquility coupled with traditional seaside resorts.

The best news for anyone thinking about making a trip to the Lincolnshire coast is that the seaside towns of Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea have all been awarded the new Quality Coast Award for 2007 (www.qualitycoast.org) as well as the Blue Flag, both of which acknowledges clean beaches and good management of the beach area.

The popular beaches of Skegness, Ingoldmells South, Chapel St Leonards, Anderby, Moggs Eye (Huttoft Beach), Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe Town also appear in the Marine Conservation Society's Good Beach Guide.

EXCITING NEWS:

The winners of the international Bathing Beauties competition to 'Re-imagine the Beach Hut for the 21st Century' are now officially on display following the launch at the Festival of Bathing Beauties (22 - 23 September 2007).  These exciting, high quality and innovative bathing huts will ultimately form a ‘linear gallery’ of seaside architecture amongst the existing 509 traditional beach huts (linking the UK coastal towns of Mablethorpe, Sutton-On-Sea and Anderby Creek in Lincolnshire, UK).  For further information about the competition and the winning beach huts visit http://www.bathingbeauties.org.uk/main.htm.

Don’t forget to join us at the next Bathing Beauties Festival on 20th - 21st September 2008.

For further information about booking these new beach huts contact the Foreshore Office on 01754 897435.
