East Lindsey Accommodation Quality Improvement Programme

The quality of our accommodation is a very important part of our visitors’ experiences.  Tourists to East Lindsey need to enjoy the nights they spend with us, the food they eat and the hospitality they receive.

As part of our commitment to improving the quality of our visitors’ experiences, a new quality improvement scheme has been introduced in East Lindsey.  Rosebud is an East Lindsey Accommodation Quality Improvement Programme that we have developed in partnership with Lincolnshire Tourism with support from East Midlands Tourism and VisitBritain.  The Rosebud scheme has been designed to act as a ‘stepping stone’ to help non-graded accommodation businesses achieve the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) that are operated by VisitBritain and the AA.  The criteria for Rosebud has been developed in consultation with a number of destinations and alongside the new NQAS adopted by all three national tourist boards and the AA.  The overall aim of the programme is to receive national recognition for high-quality accommodation of all levels by 2012.

As part of the programme we offer free no obligation advisory visits by a qualified Quality Assurance Assessor who will talk to businesses about the Rosebud Programme as well as the NQAS, he will then advise them on their best route forward.  Once a business has gained Rosebud accreditation they will have 3 years to achieve a national star grading, during this time they will receive our full support and guidance.

If you would like any further information on Rosebud, please contact Karen East, Economic Development Officer on 01507 601111 or email karen.east@e-lindsey.gov.uk.
