TONIGHT’S meeting of East Lindsey District Council’s Louth Area Committee has been postponed to January 10, 2011, due to the adverse weather. The rearranged meeting will still take place at the Meridian Leisure Centre.

The decision to postpone was taken by Councillor Lesley Koumi in consultation with the Committee’s Corporate Support Officer, James Gilbert, who both felt it was unfair to ask local people to attend on an icy and snowy evening.

When the meeting takes place, Councillor Koumi will update Councillors on the Louth Nipper Bus Service and ongoing efforts to increase usage; the announcement by the Driving Standards Agency that they plan to close their Louth test centre; and also the work of the Skate Park Group.

The Committee will receive an update on Louth Market and ongoing discussions between the District Council, Town Council and Louth Town Centre Partnership.

The Committee’s Corporate Support Officer will update Councillors on the onshore implications of proposed Tritton Knoll wind farm and potential substation development.
