Lincolnshire 2012 Champion welcomes Sport England Olympic funding announcement

LONDON 2012 Champion for Lincolnshire and Leader of East Lindsey District Council, Councillor Doreen Stephenson, said she would be working with colleagues to try and ensure Lincolnshire gets a share of the funding:
“I am determined that Lincolnshire will develop a legacy from the London 2012 Olympics Games and as a result local people will be inspired to both participate in sports and volunteer in their communities.
“The funding announcement by Sport England will mean significant investment in grass routes sport across the country. This can only be positive for the health of local people and also for developing our Olympians of the future.”
