For the first time ever, Skegness has a special Winter Festival Programme that will bring the resort alive.
The Programme has been pulled together by the business community with support from East Lindsey District Council. With a range of amazing events and activities including a Victorian Market, real Reindeers and the national AMCA motorcycle event, people visiting Skegness during December will be sure of a great time.
Stefan Krause, Skegness Town Centre Manager, said: “Businesses in Skegness have been working hard to develop the first Skegness Winter Festival which offers an exciting festive programme for everyone. We’re all keen to ensure Skegness has events and activities all year round to encourage people to visit outside the main holiday season and this Festival is an important step forward for the town.”
“We are really pleased to be working with other businesses in the town and the District Council. Working together to improve the offering to tourists over the winter period. We need to get the message over that Skegness is not just a great summer destination, but somewhere to visit again during the winter period” said William Mitchell, Director of Skegness Pier.
As well as being distributed to thousands of people locally, the Festival programme is available for download (PDF, 1923KB).
