Mablethorpe's Interim Town Centre Partnership Board has now been formed and the 12 members of the Board are already looking at how they can bring together local organisations to share a single vision for the town.
The Interim Partnership Board is made up of representatives from the Private, Public and Voluntary Sectors. When the Interim Board met for the first time on January 14, 2010, Fiona Carruthers who works for the Lincolnshire School Improvement Service was appointed Chairman and John Clarke from Mablethorpe based Linx Model Works was appointed Vice-Chairman.
Mablethorpe's Town Centre Manager, Karen Froggatt, who is employed by East Lindsey District Council, said: 'Now that the Interim Board has been established we can really look at how we can all work together to improve Mablethorpe and develop a single vision that we can all work towards. We need to make sure Mablethorpe continues to thrive and to do this we need input from the whole community. This is a very exciting time for Mablethorpe so please don't miss the opportunity to be involved.'
The Town Centre Partnership Workshop is taking place later this month where representatives from the local community and local businesses will meet to discuss their views on how the town should move forward.
