People in East Lindsey on a Monday (Louth area) refuse collection are being encouraged to follow their normal routine for putting their waste out for collection.

The District Council has been alerted to a mistake on its refuse collection calendar that may be causing confusion. The mistake, which gives wrong collection information, is for June only and the calendar is correct again from July onwards. The incorrect calendar was sent to 1,100 households (of 65,717).

An error has also been found on the calendar for Tuesday collections from July onwards. This error does not correct itself. It affects a smaller number of households, approximately 100 (of 65,717).

Residents on Monday and Tuesday collections only are being asked to contact the District Council on 01507 601111 if they are unsure of their collection arrangements. New collection calendars can also be printed off at the Council’s website www.e-lindsey.gov.uk

Collection arrangements for households on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are correct on all versions of the calendar.

Waste and Recycling Team Leader, Nick Davis, apologised to those residents affected by the confusion: "It is an unfortunate mistake and we are concerned that it is causing confusion for the people affected. We are doing our best to minimise disruption and urge people to call the Customer Services Team if they are unsure."
