District's favourite market trader crowned and finalists announced

July 31, 2019

The winners of our Favourite Market Trader Award have been announced, with all other finalists for the East Lindsey Business Awards also being revealed.

The Favourite Market Trader Award for 2019 went to Tastee Foods. Traders Mick and Mark regularly have their stall at Horncastle and Louth, selling their speciality low fat sausages.

Mick and Mark triumphed in a hotly contested public vote beating competition from traders across East Lindsey's chartered markets. It was clear from votes that the pair's friendly, welcoming nature was just as important to customers as their sausages - with voters saying they were always greeted with a smile.

Portfolio Holder for Market Towns and Rural Economy, Adam Grist, said: "Mick and Mark have been coming to our markets at Louth and Horncastle for years now; they are fantastic traders and clearly the public think so too. This is the first time we've run the market trader vote and it has been amazing to see the way the public and the traders have got involved."

District's Favourite Market Trader is just one of the Awards up for grabs at this year's East Lindsey Business Awards and finalists for all the categories have now been decided:
