Just three days left to help bring Hope and Light to East Lindsey's market towns

Our Hope and Light project will still go ahead in December following the news of the November lockdown - now we need you to ensure you submit your artwork before Friday's deadline.

We have partnered with Different Light Collective to deliver Hope and Light, a unique community project which will see special light projections take place in each of the district's Vital and Viable market towns, using artwork designed by residents.

Earlier in the month the Hope and Light team released unique templates for each town (Louth - Trees, Alford - Stars, Spilsby - Crackers, and Horncastle - Snowflakes), which residents have been encouraged to get creative with before sending back for inclusion in the projections which will run throughout December.

With the deadline fast approaching we're encouraging residents to ensure they get their designs submitted in time.

Councillor Adam Grist, Portfolio Holder for Rural Economy and Market Towns, said: "We've already seen some excellent designs being submitted back to us, and it's great to see the positivity Hope and Light has generated in the community. Following the announcement that we'll be entering a second national lockdown, the need for some hope and light at the start of December is even greater now. So please, help us make the project as special as we can and make sure to get your artwork in before the end of Friday."

Simon Hollingworth, Creative Producer of the Different Light Collective added: "We were so delighted to be asked by East Lindsey to devise and deliver this project and we feel that due to the lockdown, this project might become even more significant in terms of bringing local residents and communities together. We really hope lots more people from across this big and beautiful district send in their festive designs by the end of Friday 6 November, so that we can create something truly special".

Templates are available online at www.different-light.co.uk. Completed templates need to be returned to hello@different-light.co.uk or via post to Different Light Collective, c/o Spilsby Sessions House, Church Street, Spilsby, Lincolnshire, PE23 5DY.

Hope and Light is part of our Vital and Viable project, which aims to work with local communities in Alford, Horncastle, Louth and Spilsby to protect, promote and preserve the towns by keeping them thriving, clean centres which are attractive places to live, work and visit.
