April 16, 2021

Ahead of the local elections taking place this May, we've issued a reminder to residents of the key dates in the lead up to polling day.

On May 6, voters will have their say in the following elections in the district:

•         Police and Crime Commissioner

•         Lincolnshire County Council

•         District by election (Chapel St Leonards Ward)

•         Parish Election (Skegness Woodland Ward)

•         Neighbourhood Plan Referendum (Holton le Clay)

Would-be voters are reminded to ensure they are registered to vote, with the deadline for new registrations closing at 23:59pm on Monday 19 April. Residents who are not yet registered can do so online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.

Residents not wishing to attend a polling station on polling day can choose to vote by post or by proxy. Applications to vote by post must be submitted to us by 5pm on Tuesday April 20, and proxy vote applications must be returned by 5pm on Tuesday April 27. Application forms for postal and proxy votes are available from the Electoral Commission's website: www.electoralcommission.org.uk.

Polling day will be May 6 and polling stations will be open from 7am - 10pm; residents can find details of their polling station by visiting www.wheredoivote.co.uk or by checking their poll card.
