It is time to celebrate British, celebrate local produce this British Food Fortnight

British Food Fortnight 2021 is running between Saturday 18th September and Sunday 3rd October 2021.

The aim of the fortnight is to encourage everyone to discover the diverse and delicious food on their doorstep, making you more aware of what's grown and available and made right here in Britain.

East Lindsey District Council are once again working with their market traders to offer up some tasty discounts with 13 traders serving up some special offers during the fortnight. The vouchers will be available from the participating traders at Louth, Horncastle and Spilsby Markets and downloadable from our website at and on our social media channels.

The Council are also encouraging food businesses to try out a market stall for free during this fortnight. Food businesses that haven't previously traded at any of our council-run markets will be able to have one free stall at Horncastle, Louth or Spilsby market, during this fortnight. Anyone interested in taking up the free stall offer should contact Esther Belton on 01507 613532 or via email

Portfolio Holder for Market Towns and Rural Economy, Councillor Adam Grist, said: "British Food Fortnight is a great chance to celebrate the food and drink that Lincolnshire is renowned for. As a District we are home to a number of fantastic and unique producers, so I'm delighted that our traders have once again helped support British Food Fortnight with some great offers. Hopefully our free stall offer will also inspire some new businesses to start trading at our markets too."

So why not choose British this fortnight and enjoy all of the diverse and delicious food Britain has to offer. You might just discover a new local producer right on your doorstep. Details on all of our local Markets can be found at
