Funds allocated to Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

£30,000 has been made available to support Parish Councils to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, or to enhance the wellbeing of facilities within the community.

The maximum funding bid of £1,000 (more may be considered for projects with multiple outcomes) will be allocated on a first come first serve basis to any Parish Council in the East Lindsey District that applies by 31st July 2022.

All funds issued will be captured and promoted on the communities' pages on both the Parish Council and East Lindsey District Council websites to show how the funds have either commemorated The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations or further enhance the wellbeing of facilities within the Parish.

Councillor Graham Marsh, Deputy Leader and Portfolio Holder for Partnerships at East Lindsey District Council, said:  "I am really pleased that we can provide this funding as an offer to help our Parish Councils in the run up and planning of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, or to enhancing the wellbeing of facilities within their community.

"We expect there will be a high level of demand and unfortunately we won't be able to fund every request but we know that a small amount of funding can make a huge difference in our local communities and we look forward to seeing what comes forward through this scheme."

Parishes are to apply for this funding by submitting their idea for their proposed project via email with subject heading 'Queen's Platinum Jubilee' to Nichola Holderness, Empowering Healthy Communities Co‐ordinator ‐ nichola.holderness@boston.gov.uk

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the application within 7 working days from confirmation of receipt.
