Q. How do I enter the awards?
A. Please complete an online nomination form and declaration. Each award category specifies the criteria judges will consider. You will be required to provide a written statement on how you meet the criteria.
You are also required to submit supporting evidence for each award nomination. Examples of these are listed in each Award Criteria documents. If you are unable to send a link to the evidence please email any attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please mark the email with the name of the award and business you are submitting the nomination for. Please do not include any third party personal information within your evidence.
Please ensure that the nomination form is received before the deadline (midnight on Sunday 30th June 2019); you will receive an automatic receipt.
If you don't wish to submit your nomination online you can request a paper copy by emailing email@example.com.
Only businesses based in East Lindsey are eligible to apply. Further details on how to enter can be found in our Entry Rules.
Q. Can I nominate my own business?
A. You can nominate your own business.
Q. Can anyone nominate a business?
A. Businesses can be nominated by anyone. However, the nominated business needs to be informed and agree to the nomination. The nominated business would typically be expected to supply the supporting evidence.
If you are making a nomination on behalf of a business you will need to supply contact details for the business owner as they will be contacted in order to validate the nomination prior to it being considered.
Q. How many award categories can I enter?
A. You can enter up to three award categories. You do not need to complete a separate nomination forms for each award. Please complete a statement for each award category you enter, including links to all supporting evidence.
Q. What supporting evidence do I need to include in my nomination?
A. Each award category is unique and may require different supporting evidence; entrants are encouraged to read through the 'Relevant Evidence' list at the bottom of each criteria document to get an understanding of what information can be included. The lists are not exhaustive and applicants are encouraged to enclose evidence/ information they believe meets the 'Main judging criteria'.
Please list all the supporting evidence you are submitting at the end of the nomination statement. If you are unable to send a link to the evidence please email any attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please mark the email with the name of the award and business you are submitting the nomination for. Please do not include any third party personal information within your evidence.
Please note that you are not required to submit every item listed in the 'Relevant Evidence' section of the Awards Criteria, applicants should choose which items are most relevant to the nomination, everything submitted will be treated in a confidential manner and destroyed after the Awards (please see our Privacy Statement).
Q. How will my entry be assessed?
A. Entries will initially be assessed by a Shortlisting Panel, who will assess the application against the 'Main judging criteria' as set out in each award categories criteria document. The top three scoring entries for each category will become finalists.
Finalists will then be invited to a meeting with the Judging Panel on Tuesday 16th July at Fairfield Enterprise Centre, Louth.
Q. When and where is the Awards night?
A. The Awards night will be held at the Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa on the evening of Friday 27th September, 2019
