Coronavirus and Council Tax
Your Council Tax pays for essential services that are delivered to the residents of the district and county.
During the Coronavirus pandemic, it is important that if your circumstances have not changed that you continue to pay as detailed on your bill. To comply with social distancing you may wish to consider setting up a Direct Debit to pay your charge.
Council Tax Hardship Fund
The Government has made COVID-19 Hardship Fund payments to local authorities to provide all working age households which receive Council Tax Support (CTS) with a further reduction of up to £150 in their 2020/21 council tax bill, as part of the measures to mitigate the financial impact of COVID19.
Around 7,000 residents living in East Lindsey who are working age and in receipt of CTS will receive a reduction of up to £150.
The reduction will be applied automatically to qualifying residents, and revised Council Tax bills will be issued at the beginning of August.
