Apply for a Business Grant

We are administering the business rates holidays and local business grants on behalf of Government, you can find further info on these schemes here.

Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund (LADGF)

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an application for the Local Authority Discretionary Grants Fund (LADGF). As a result of unprecedented demand for the LADGF, the fund was closed to new applications at 9am on Tuesday June 9.

Business Rates Holiday

For those businesses eligible for the Business Rates holiday, we will be updating accounts with the additional rate relief, and sending revised bills to ratepayers at the earliest opportunity. There is no need to contact the Business Rates team to request this.

Business Grant Funds

Government has announced the closure of the Small Business Grant Fund (SBGF) and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Grant (RHLG) on Saturday 28th August. East Lindsey District Council has already processed over £45m in grant payments to nearly 4,000 East Lindsey businesses - but there are still eligible businesses that have been contacted, but not made an application. To make an application please e-mail the Economic Development Team, with:

1. Your Business Rates account number;
2. Your Business Rates property reference number; and;
3. Your Name, Business Name and Address

Our Team will then confirm your eligibility for the grant funds and should you be eligible, forward you a link to make an application. As we need to ensure all payments are made to eligible businesses by Saturday 28th August, we will not accept new applications after Friday 21st August - should you not have submitted an application by this date, we will not consider your application.

Please be aware that once we've processed payment it can take five working days for the bank to put the grant funds into your account.

Eligibility for these three grants are based on receipt of Business Rates relief and rateable values.

Small Business Grants Fund (SBGF)

  • Small businesses that pay little or no business rates and are eligible for small business rate relief (SBBR) or rural rate relief will receive £10,000 cash grant.
