There is an opportunity for District Councillors to ask a question or propose a motion at each Council Meeting.
Questions on Notice by Councillors
At each full Council meeting there is an opportunity for Councillors to ask questions. Here we explain the process for asking questions.
A Councillor may ask a question on any matter in relation to which the Council has powers or duties or which affects the District. The question can be put to:
the Chairman;
an Executive Councillor;
the Leader; or
the Chairman of any committee or sub-committee
Questions should be received by no later than 6:30pm on the Thursday before the day of the meeting. The following information must be provided:
The name and address of the Councillor submitting the question
The name of the Councillor to whom the question is put

The Council Meetings for the forthcoming civic year will take place on:
Wednesday 28th October 2020
Wednesday 9th December 2020 (Afternoon meeting)
Wednesday 3rd March 2021
Wednesday 12th May 2021 (AGM)
N.B. Unless highlighted all Council Meetings commence at 6.30pm.
Motions on Notice
Except for motions which can be moved without notice under Council Procedure Rule 13, notice must be given by delivering it in writing or by electronic mail to the Chief Executive by emailing committeeadmin@e-lindsey.gov.uk not later than 14 working days before the date of the meeting. These will be entered in a book open to public inspection.
