We work with various agencies to respond to emergencies within the East Lindsey. We have certain responsibilities and powers in relation to major civil emergencies, accidents and hazards under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004
While all incidents or emergencies are different, there is a range of simple and inexpensive measures that we can all adopt to improve self-reliance an minimise possible disruption. We must have adequate measures in place to maintain essential services and recover from the effects of significant disruption. This process is known as Business Continuity Management (BCM).
Under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, we have statutory responsibilities and powers to make plans to prepare for and to respond to the effects of a major civil emergency within the District.
