Horncastle Neighbourhood Development Plan
On the 18th May 2016 the Council agreed to 'Make' the Horncastle Neighbourhood Plan pursuant to the provisions of section 38(A)(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
The Horncastle Neighbourhood Plan Area application was approved on 8th January 2013. The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group in conjunction with Horncastle Town Council prepared their Neighbourhood Plan and submitted it to the Council in April 2015.
The document was publicised for six weeks until 3rd July 2015 before being reviewed by an independent examiner. The examiner concluded he was satisfied that the Horncastle Neighbourhood Development Plan was capable of meeting the legal requirements set out in the Localism Act 2011, including meeting the basic conditions, subject to modifications which were approved by the Council on the 23rd of February 2016. The referendum was passed on Thursday 14th April 2016 with Council agreeing to 'make' the Horncastle Neighbourhood Plan pursuant to the provisions of section 38(A)(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004. The Horncastle Neighbourhood Plan now forms part of that authority's Development Plan, meaning that it will be a material consideration when deciding development proposals within the area covered by the Plan.
